Google mail or April fool hoax?

I heard about the google email announcement. While its very interesting.. I remain a cynical person. That, and it's 1st April tomorrow!

If gmail does come about, I'm signing up right away (1GB... must have..), otherwise- you saw it here first!

Maybe I'm wrong about this. 00:40 on April 1st and no April fool hoax notice. Instead, I see this cheesy job posting for a Google job on the moon http://www.google.com/jobs/lunar_job.html
